Goblet

FAQ

Everything people ask before their first scan.

How does Goblet know what I like?

You rate wines out of 10 on one question — would you buy it again? Goblet learns from those ratings, and every wine you score sharpens the next prediction. One rating is enough to start.

Do I need to know anything about wine?

No. That is rather the point. Goblet explains each pick in plain language and in terms of wines you already told it you liked.

Is it free?

Yes, with a monthly allowance of scans. Goblet Premium lifts the cap for people who scan often.

What does the score actually mean?

Taste compatibility — the chance you personally would enjoy the glass. Never critic scores, prestige or price. A famous bottle that does not suit you scores low, and it should.

How do I scan a wine list or a shelf?

Switch modes on the scanner: Wine List photographs a menu and ranks every bottle on it; Shelf photographs a display and pulls out the three most worth taking home.

What happens to the photos I scan?

They are analysed and discarded — we do not keep them. The only photo we store is one you deliberately save to a wine in your Winery. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

When does it launch?

Soon. Join the waitlist on the home page and we’ll email you the day it reaches the App Store and Google Play.
